David Luo
Founder | DirectorDavid is the Founder and Director of CMC, and a former High School Mathematics Head Teacher with nearly 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience. He has taught students across all abilities, from foundational support through to Extension 2 Mathematics, with many achieving outstanding school and HSC results.
David has also presented senior maths courses for Edrolo and worked in mathematics education at the University of Sydney. At CMC, David leads the vision and works closely with families and tutors to help students build confidence and achieve success.
Clarinda Luo
Head of OperationsClarinda is Head of Operations at CMC, overseeing the day-to-day running of the centre and ensuring smooth communication between tutors, students and parents. She manages enrolments, timetables, make-up lessons and resources, creating an organised and supportive learning environment.
Wife of our Director David Luo and mother of their four children, Clarinda holds a Bachelor of Applied Vision Science (Orthoptics) from the University of Sydney and still works casually as an orthoptist. Her healthcare background brings professionalism, empathy and strong problem-solving to her role.
Steve Yeung
Assistant Centre Director | Pennant HillsSteve, a former student of our Director David Luo, excelled in the highest level of school mathematics, achieving Band 6 in both Extension 1 and Advanced Mathematics. He completed Year 11 and 12 Advanced Mathematics in just two terms and achieved 96% in the HSC.
As Head of Curriculum, Steve leads the development of learning resources, supports staff training, and continues teaching students across all levels. He is highly regarded for his clear explanations and ability to help students build confidence and succeed.
Joel Xavier
Assistant Centre Director | CherrybrookJoel, a former student of our Director David Luo, brings four years of tutoring experience specialising in selective school and high school mathematics. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Science (Physics) and a Bachelor of Secondary Education while maintaining a distinction average.
As leader of our Selective Schools Program, Joel combines strong academic knowledge with a passion for teaching. He is also a valued member of our Curriculum Team, developing high quality learning resources for students.
