The programme

Built around what they’re studying now

CMC English is our small-group program for Years 7 to 12, run live online with a maximum of four students per class. It’s built around what each student is actually studying at school, so lessons feed straight into their next assessment rather than a generic booklet.

Taught by passionate, skilled English tutors who know the NSW syllabus and HSC marking criteria properly. With only four students per class, every student gets real feedback on their own writing.

Three stages

One progression, Year 7 to the HSC

Each stage builds directly on the last, so nothing has to be relearned along the way.

Stage 4 Years 7–8

Building the foundations

Comprehension, paragraph structure, and confidence putting ideas into words.

Stage 5 Years 9–10

Sharpening analysis and writing

Deeper textual analysis and more control over writing — the skills Stage 6 assumes they already have.

Stage 6 Years 11–12

Getting HSC-ready

Refining essays and creative pieces under timed conditions, against real marking criteria.

Why families choose CMC English

Four students. Real feedback.

Four students per class

Tutors know each child’s writing, not just their name.

Every piece of writing a student produces is read and marked by their tutor, with feedback that names the specific thing to fix next.

Tied to their own classroom

Lessons track what’s happening at school.

We teach the texts and tasks your child is actually set, so the work done in class feeds straight into their next assessment.

One clear progression

Year 7 through to the HSC.

Because the stages connect, early work keeps paying off — a Year 8 student’s paragraph structure becomes a Year 12 student’s essay control.
