Joel is CMC's Senior Extension Tutor and a valued member of our Curriculum Team, where he develops high-quality learning resources that support students' progress across all levels.
Joel was Dux of his Year 12 cohort, achieving over 90% in both Extension 1 and Extension 2 Mathematics. This academic strength is matched by a genuine commitment to helping others understand and enjoy the subject. He brings four years of tutoring experience, including time spent working in an after-school tutoring program during high school, and has spent the past two years with CMC teaching students from Years 7 to 12 across all ability levels.
As a tutor, Joel is calm, focused, and approachable. He is skilled at explaining complex concepts clearly and patiently, and takes pride in seeing his students grow in both confidence and skill. Joel is dedicated to helping each student achieve their best.

Murphy achieved outstanding results in senior Mathematics, studying Extension 1 and Advanced Mathematics and achieving over 90% in both courses. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Laws, bringing strong analytical thinking, discipline, and communication skills into his tutoring.
With two years of tutoring experience, Murphy has helped students strengthen their understanding, improve their problem-solving skills, and build confidence in challenging topics. His two years of piano teaching experience with students aged 3 to 17 has further shaped his patient, adaptable, and encouraging teaching style.
Murphy is approachable and focused, with a strong commitment to helping students feel more confident and capable in mathematics. He takes pride in explaining concepts clearly and guiding each student to develop the skills and mindset needed to achieve their best.

Sophie was School Captain and Dux of her school, achieving 95%+ in English Advanced and other writing-based subjects, as well as over 90% across all subjects as a Distinguished Achiever. A former student of Director David Luo, she is the first CMC student to return as a tutor, bringing a unique understanding of both the student and teaching experience.
Currently studying a Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the University of Sydney, Sophie tutors English from Years 7 to 12 across all levels. She is skilled at helping students understand and communicate their ideas clearly, refine their writing skills, and build the analytical thinking needed to succeed in senior English.
Known for her energetic and supportive teaching style, Sophie creates a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves. She is committed to helping every student build the skills and confidence needed for long-term academic success.

Gabby is a former selective school student who brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to our team, having achieved over 90% in both Extension 1 and Extension 2 Mathematics.
Since graduating, she has gained valuable experience at other tutoring centres and now brings her expertise to CMC Education. Gabby is experienced across the full range of abilities, teaching students from Years 3 to 12 in Mathematics, as well as our Selective classes.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and a Bachelor of Science, Gabby excels at articulating maths concepts clearly and enjoys nurturing her students' confidence and understanding. Her encouraging approach and dedication to seeing her students succeed make her a valued member of our team.

Rita completed both Extension 1 and Advanced Mathematics in the HSC, achieving scores above 90%. As a student, she was passionate about understanding the “why” behind mathematical concepts, not just memorising methods.

Angus is a passionate tutor with over three years of experience coaching students across all levels, including time spent at another tutoring company before joining CMC. He completed both Extension 1 and Extension 2 Mathematics in the HSC, achieving the highest band in both courses, and is now studying a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science, majoring in Mathematics.
Angus believes Mathematics is a practical subject, one that can't be mastered through reading a textbook alone. In lessons, he encourages students to explain and apply ideas early, helping them build real exam confidence rather than simply the ability to copy steps.
He is also part of CMC's Curriculum Team, creating resources that address individual weaknesses and align with the requirements of different schools.

Bertina achieved excellent results in the HSC, with a 92/100 in Math Advanced, and 46/50 in Math Extension 1 contributing to an ATAR of 98.25. Currently, she is pursuing a gap year after shortly studying a Bachelor of Actuarial and Commerce at UNSW, deciding to pivot towards allied health specialties and now looking at a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) at USYD for 2027.
Her background in leadership roles during highschool such as Prefect and Peer Support, combined with babysitting during her spare time aid her approachability, friendliness and ability to lead and empower students academically. She loves to relate to students, building strong relationships that complement the supportive learning environment she creates.

Ella is another former student of our Director, David Luo, who completed Accelerated Advanced and Extension 1 Mathematics before continuing Extension 2 Mathematics in Year 12. Ella understands what it takes to succeed in senior Mathematics and enjoys helping students build both skill and confidence through step-by-step explanations, reinforcing strong foundations early that carry through high school Mathematics and beyond.
Currently studying Medical Science, Ella carries a passion for learning and helping others into her lessons, fostering students' growth in the understanding and enjoyment of Mathematics. She meets students where they're at, with patience and encouragement, helping them build genuine confidence in high school Mathematics.

Charli-Rose, more commonly known as Charli, is a graduate of Pacific Hills Christian School and is currently studying a Bachelor of Medical Science at Macquarie University.
Known for her warm personality and strong interpersonal skills, Charli has a natural ability to put students at ease and create an engaging learning environment where maths becomes both accessible and enjoyable. She specialises in Primary and Junior High School Mathematics, and her patient, encouraging approach helps students build confidence and develop a positive attitude towards learning from an early age.
Outside of tutoring, Charli enjoys singing and playing the guitar. She is also actively involved in coaching at her local physical culture club and competes at a national level, demonstrating the same dedication and discipline that she brings to her teaching.

Bronte is a former CMC student who achieved strong results in Standard Mathematics, including 90% in the HSC exam and ATAR 98.. She brings valuable experience working with children across a range of age groups as a peer tutor and Sunday school leader at her church, with particular expertise in supporting primary school students.
In her lessons, Bronte combines a caring and patient approach with energy and enthusiasm, creating a supportive environment where students feel confident to learn and develop their skills. Currently studying a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at the University of Sydney, her genuine passion for helping students achieve their best is clear in the encouragement and personalised guidance she provides.
